Carli Giese, a BFA graduate in Ceramics from Arizona State University, will discuss her artistic
journey and the evolution of her expressive figurative sculpture. With over a decade of
experience in ceramics, Carli’s work explores themes of self-reflection, personal growth, and the
nuanced layers of human experience. She will share insights from her time in Jingdezhen,
China, and from her experience in Flagstaff, Arizona where she expanded her technical skills in
figure sculpting and firing techniques.This talk will offer a glimpse into the influences and
experiences that continue to shape her work.
