We welcome artists Sara Lund and Thollem as they roll through the Sou’wester on tour as the band Conformity Contortion where convention submission distorts compliance.
Sara Lund has been providing beats and exploring rhythm since age 11. She is best known for her work as the drummer for Unwound (1992-2002). Thollem is known internationally as a wildly diverse keyboardist and has been on tour perpetually for years, releasing more than 40 albums of his own and in collaboration with others on 19 different vanguard labels.
Ray Prestegard loves playing music, singing and entertaining. He has all his life, from Texas through the Northwest. Playing original songs and concentrating on the classics, he plays music Americana. Bringing to the stage vintage amps and instruments made in the 30’s & 40’s through the 70’s in the USA, Ray plays blues, rock, folk and country with original tones from the time. Banjos, dobros, guitars, ukelleles, harmonicas and more.

Join us for the wonderful sounds of Clambake Combo! Better than food, it’s gypsy jazz! Musical entertainment at the Sou’wester not to be missed!
The Clambake Combo is a jazz ensemble specializing in Gypsy Swing repertoire from 1930s France in the style of Django Reinhardt. Their style also extends from French musettes and bebop to Brazil. Formed by Joseph Appel and Owen Hofmann-Smith in 2005, Clambake Combo’s size and makeup varies depending on the event and has played extensively in Portland, OR and the Pacific Northwest at private and public events and as a local swing dance band.
Longriver and Travis Champ are joined by another great Austin songwriter, Justin Fallen for this stellar music event at the Sou’wester.
David Longoria (Longriver) of The Black is a singer, songwriter and poet living in Austin, Texas. He has performed or toured with the Trail of Dead, Yo La Tengo, James Hand, Deertick, Fiery Furnaces, Joe Ely, Shiva’s Headband, The Sword, and Voxtrot.
Publisher of Abandon Press and songwriter of the Nehalem country band The Cedar Shakes, Travis Champ is too impatient to be a decent gambler, and too honest to talk with cops.
Justin Fallen grew up in Virginia and learned to write songs in Texas. His album, The Country Hero, features performances from some of the finest central Texas has to offer.

“As we create, and the beauty of this sacred object starts to take shape, we tap deeper into our subconscious allowing the spiritual eye to see and understand things unknown to the physical eye. Through the repetitive and meditative quality of this ancient practice and with the addition of essential oils, we will deepen our awareness, reveal hidden truths within and connect to our higher purpose.”
